Many people are interested in DIY projects but first thing first, you need the right tools! Although every project is different, here are the 10 most important tools any DIY warrior could have in their arsenal.
1. Drill and Drill Bit Set- One of the most important tools for anyone to have around the house for DIY projects is a solid drill and drill bit set. Whether you are hanging pictures or putting together a DIY Cold Plunge, a drill is going to be crucial. Having a good drill bit set is just as important, so you can tackle a variety of screw heads and screw sizes. We recommend the Milwaukee M18 compact drill and Milwaukee 40 Piece Drill Bit Set. Milwaukee has been making quality tools for many years and their M18 line is top notch. See the links below if you're interested in checking them out. 2. Tape Measure- You won't get far on any DIY project without a solid tape measure at your disposal. In order to make accurate cuts you will need to accurately measure your material. A 25 foot tape measure is a good length to have and should be more than suitable for the majority of DIY projects. You can pick up a cheap tape measure from any hardware or big box store but you may want to pay a bit extra for a solid tape measure. We have bought some cheap ones before and they didn't last as long as desired. We recommend getting a decent tape measure with a wide blade that is also magnetic. The 25 Foot Wide Blade Magnetic Milwaukee Tape Measure is our recommendation. See the link below if you're interested in checking it out.

3. Hammer- No DIY tool arsenal would be complete without a solid hammer. From hanging pictures to driving in finishing nails into trim on a bigger project, a hammer is essential for any DIYer to have. Luckily you can pick up a solid hammer on Amazon for a very affordable price. With a hammer, it's important to have a grip that is comfortable to allow for prolonged use but also absorbs vibration efficiently. It is also important to have a good steel construction that is solid but not overly heavy and difficult to use. We recommend the Irwin General Purpose Hammer. This hammer is super affordable and very well received by customers. See the links below if you're interested in checking it out.

4. Circular Saw- A good circular saw is crucial for anyone working with wood and doing those bigger DIY projects. Having a high quality circular saw will allow you to make those accurate cuts necessary to have a successful project. There are many brands and sizes when it come to circular saws. In respect to size, we recommend a 6 1/2 inch circular saw. This size should be more than capable for tackling the vast majority of DIY projects and can easily cut through 2x4's and other materials. When going to purchase a circular saw it is important to get a quality brand that will provide those high quality cuts and stand the test of time. We recommend the Milwaukee 6 1/2 inch Circular Saw, which will also work with the same batteries that are mentioned earlier with the Milwaukee Drill. It is important to have the same brand of tools such as the Milwaukee M18 line so you can use the same batteries for all the tools. Trust us, it will make life and those DIY projects much easier. 5. Jigsaw- Although not used for every DIY project, the jigsaw does become extremely necessary when making certain cuts. The circular saw is great for the majority of cuts you will need to make but is only meant to be used for straight line cuts. When it comes time to make a different type of cut that involves curves, the jigsaw will become needed. Another huge benefit of the Jigsaw is that it can also be used to cut a variety of materials, depending on the blades you have. Jigsaws are also extremely easy to use and the blades are extremely easy to change when switching between different materials. We recommend getting the Milwaukee M18 Jigsaw and the Diablo 20 Piece Blade set to accompany it. The Diablo blade set has a variety of blades for different types of wood and metal, as well as general purpose blades. The Milwaukee M18 Jigsaw will work with all the other M18 batteries. 7. Brad Nail Gun- Another tool that is crucial to many DIY projects is a brad nail gun. Not only will this tool help your project shine, but it will also save you a bunch of time and frustration compared to using finishing nails with a hammer. A Brad Nail Gun can be used for trim work, attaching baseboards, affixing paneling, holding wood pieces together, and much more. Unlike a hammer, a brad nail gun only takes one click to accomplish your task. Brad nails are also smaller than most finishing nails to give your project a much better look by leaving smaller marks on your trim work. We recommend using pneumatic brad nail guns as they are much cheaper. In order to do this you will need an air compressor as well. Below we will link an air compressor as well as our recommended brad nail gun. In respect to the brad nail gun, we recommend Metabo Brad Nail Gun. It works great and ranks high in customer satisfaction. See the link below if you're interested in checking them out.

9. Plier Set- No DIY arsenal is complete without a quality plier set. These tools are crucial for tightening fittings as well as compressing and bending materials. They are also often used to provide enough torque to open coverings to access things such as piping. In order to correctly assemble fittings and to create a leak resistant barrier, hand tightening simply won't work. In this scenario pliers will be needed. Pliers are also going to be needed when working with pneumatic tools such as the brad nail gun/ air compressor mentioned earlier. These tools require fittings and they need to be tightened correctly in order to function properly and not be leaking air. We recommend getting a set of 3 different pliers of various sizes, so you always have the size you need to complete the job. We like the Irwin 3-Piece Plier Set. This set is made of high quality materials and they last forever. They also happen to be very affordable. See the link below if you're interested in checking them out.

This handheld device is used to identify metal studs located behind a wall surface, typically drywall. By allowing you to do this, you will be able to hang items in your home without using anchors. Drilling or nailing directly into a stud is much more secure than using anchors and much less time consuming. We recommend the Suntutufy Stud Finder.
